  • Inland Revenue has released the following message for businesses.
    “If your business is unable to pay its taxes on time due to the impact of COVID-19, we understand, you don’t need to contact us right now. Get in touch with us when you can, and we’ll write-off any penalties and interest.”

  • Ministry for Social Development
    MSD are the sole agency responsible for paying the wage subsidy and all superannuation and job seeker benefits.

    – To contact the Ministry with wage subsidy queries, the number is 0800 40 80 40.
    – If you are a superannuitant and require extra financial assistance at this difficult time, please call MSD on 0800 552 002.

 

  • Legal issues around employment contracts and Covid-19
    Contact your local Community Law centre for advice with employment contracts. In the Tauranga area it’s Baywide Community Law.

  • Bay of Plenty Civil Defence Hotline for the vulnerable
    For Bay of Plenty people struggling to get food, groceries, medication or other household goods and services. It is not intended to replace other support numbers. This free phone number is manned 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week. 0800 884 222.

 

  • We Care
    wecare.kiwi  is for people living on their own or caring for others during the pandemic and offers a helping hand and a listening ear during the current Level 4 lockdown period, and will provide practical supports once New Zealand returns to alert Levels 2 and 3.
