JIGSAW WAS FOUNDED FROM THE SHARED SYNERGIES
OF THE CO-FOUNDERS EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE
I’m an entrepreneur at heart with a passion for business and their people. Having founded several businesses, I’ve successfully combined my extensive background as a financial advisor with my ongoing learnings as both an employee and a businesswoman.
I love to help others with my empathy and listening ear. I’m practical and down to earth with a wide range of personal and business life experiences: the good, the bad and the ugly, which I draw on to help others succeed. I constantly look for better ways of doing things and challenge the norm, and encourage others to look for solutions that can change things for the better.
I understand the complexities and challenges we all can face on a daily basis. I know what it’s like to be a business owner and to be kept awake at night when you literally ‘live – eat - breathe’ your business. I’ve also been an employee so can appreciate both sides of the fence. I’ve seen both great and not so great businesses, as well as experienced inspirational and not so inspirational managers and leaders.
Originally from Wellington, I moved to the Bay of Plenty in 2016 - one of NZ's fastest growing regions. I networked my butt off alongside my husband and business partner, and in doing so, we recognised there was a need to help businesses find one another and connect in a face to face environment on a deeper level than is ordinarily possible through cold calling or at a networking event.
Having previously organised a large number of workshops, seminars, team building events, keynote speakers plus organised and facilitated hundreds of financial education sessions, I brought my organisational skills and attention to detail to the fore and Jigsaw set about planning for the inaugural Business Expo in Tauranga. The 3am lightbulb moment I had shared came to fruition in Tauranga in March 2018. This was followed by a further successful and growing Business Expo in Hamilton in September 2019.
Jigsaw continues to work with businesses to provide a range of bespoke premier events for their teams and their clients, and in 2019 we also introduced our latest event – Pop-Up Business Expos.

Since starting my very first business, way back when, I have always had a strong passion to see people and businesses succeed. I’ve been part of some amazing teams and had some great mentors. On the flip side I’ve learned a lot from being involved with bad teams with bad leaders. I have experienced how quickly great people can become disillusioned and demotivated under bad leadership and how thriving businesses can rapidly fail.
From the many highs and lows of both my personal and business lives, the one thing I’ve learned that serves me best is “I’d rather be the centre of achievement than the centre of attention”. Whether I’m leading, following or challenging the norm, it’s not about me, it’s about the team and that's what makes the magic happen.
Throughout my career I have attended a large number of business seminars, conferences, retreats and completed an intensive 16 day Business School run by Robert Kiyosaki - writer, entrepreneur and nowadays billionaire. Combining the knowledge learned from these events, with my own business and personal successes (and failures), there is plenty to draw from. Helping others to succeed, especially by helping them not make the same mistakes as I have made, helps drive me as a person and businessman.
My personal goal these days is to utilise all the knowledge and skills I have acquired over my career, both as a business owner and as an employee, to help my own business ventures succeed but also to actively be involved in helping other businesses succeed and excel. My decision in 2019 to focus full time on running business expos is an ideal way to feed my passion for business success.
